1. |
Is it true that my soul can fall into hell even though I regularly
attended church for many years?
If yes, can
it be explained from the Bible? |
Yes, you can. It does not matter whether your church is
Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal or Catholic. If
your pastor did not clearly show you the Road
to Heaven from the Bible, the Words of God, then your soul
can fall into hell with a false peace in your heart. If
your pastor does not know the Soul-Saving Gospel, both of you
would go to the same place together, Hell! |
When you first started attending church, if your pastor taught
you, as a Road to Heaven: |
to be baptized (by sprinkling or immersion at
any age); |
to be faithful in attending church; or,
to be faithful in giving to the church or to charity,
etc.
all of which involves your
own efforts, sacrifices, and self-achievement, then it is not
possible for you to know that such teaching is against God's
Plan of Salvation. Until somebody helps you find
the right way (God's way from the Bible), you will continue
to falsely believe that you are going to Heaven. But,
when you see God's way, you will have no doubts that your
ways are the wrong way. |
Because the Bible says that Salvation is by grace through faith,
some people may not understand the faithful Christian who sacrifices
his own time, money, and all he has for God's ministry or for
the works of the church. Such observations might be working
as a hinderance in some hearts that are convicted by the Gospel,
but still hesitant to accept Jesus Christ as their personal
savior because they are afraid of either loosing or giving up
their possessions or pleasure. |
Even though all Born Again Christians are saved by His grace,
there could be many different reactions from them depending
on the extent of impact of when each Christian was convicted.
If conviction was major, their willingness to share what
they have to show their personal appreciation to God and that
person's ministry could be very clear and active in many ways;
thus, other people may not be able to understand their heart.
For example, during my college days, I had the experience of
rescuing a a student from drowning. She and her parents
thanked me for my actions, but how could I know the extent of
her gratitude unless I had experienced the same situation? If
I were one of her neighbors, she could demonstrate her appreciations
in many ways, but this was not the case. So, even if she
went to the extent of purchasing a rescue boat for a less popular
beach, and spent every summer holiday watching to save someone
else from drowning as her way of paying back what she felt she
owed to someone, we do not see anything wrong with her actions.
Indeed, we often commend such actions because it demonstrates
the depth of appreciation one person has for the the kindness
and mercy of another. And we instinctively know, and say,
that such a person is doing good works in their appreciation.
That describes the heart of some Born Again Christians
too! |
