This also can happen to you, too. It only depends upon how desperately you were seeking for Someone who can save you from the bondage of sin. Just as if you were drowning in the river and you were crying out for any help to pull you out of that water. Before you sank, if somebody pulled you out, then, you would do anything for him as you owe your life.

On the contrary, when the soul saving gospel was preached to you and you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, if you were not convinced strongly for what Jesus has done for your salvation, then you cannot appreciate much and your life style cannot be changed soon.

Some people do not feel much obligation to Christ when they first found Him as their Savior because they may think that they were somewhat righteous; thus, they feel they do not owe too much to Christ. With such people, the speed of life-changing and the amount would be very little at first. However, as they grow spiritually, they could realize how proud and wrong they were. Then, if they confesses their sin of pride, and fully trust Lord Jesus for what He has done, from that time on their life will change more rapidly.

But if you really repented, accepted and trusted your life to Jesus Christ, it is much better to change your old life to the new life He has created in you. That will be the way to please our new Spiritual Father in Heaven.
