The abaca produces the fiber known as "Manila Hemp". Sinamay is a fine, handwoven material produced from abaca fiber. SUPERIOR QUALITY SINAMAY Quality is assured with our own Sinamay weaving center. Our 400 weavers are trained and highly skilled in the art of weaving Abaca fiber into Sinamay on hand looms. We are proud of the skill of our weavers who use traditional hand looms. They produce a Sinamay that is finely woven with a fiber count of up to 14x14/15x15 per inch! Our Sinamay is available: in a spectrum of 35 different colors (including natural); with fine gold or silver thread interwoven into the fabric; and, in multicolored bolts, for a subtle translucent blending of colors. APPLICATION AND USE OF SINAMAY Handicrafts Sinamay handicrafts are popular and unique! Sinamay is crafted into unique and attractive Christmas tree ornamanets. Our Dynamis "Abaca Angel" is especially popular worldwide for that "traditionally" trimmed Christmas tree! Other tree ornaments and trimmings are also available.
